Applications
4,4′-Diamino-3,3′-dichlorodiphenylmethane is used as a vulcanizing agent for cast polyurethane rubber, a crosslinking agent for polyurethane coating adhesives, and can also be used as a curing agent for epoxy resins. When used as a vulcanizing agent for polyurethane rubber, the dosage is generally 85% to 100% of the free isocyanate equivalent in the prepolymer. Used as a crosslinking agent for polyurethane rubber. It can also be used to cure epoxy resins. Aromatic diamines are used as chain extenders for polyurethanes and are mainly used for the vulcanization molding of TDI series prepolymers. The alkalinity of aromatic diamines is weaker than that of aliphatic diamines, and the reaction activity with -NCO is lower. It has a moderate gel time and can give the elastomer good physical and mechanical properties. Aromatic diamines used as cast polyurethanes (CPU) generally introduce steric groups or electron-withdrawing substituents into their molecules to reduce activity and provide a suitable pouring time.
Storage
Store in a dry, clean, well-ventilated warehouse. Avoid exposure to light and heat to prevent oxidation. During transportation, protect from leakage, rain, and direct sunlight.
Shelf Life
The shelf life of 4,4′-Diamino-3,3′-dichlorodiphenylmethane is 12 months under recommended storage conditions. The product stored exceeded expiration may still me used if the testing result is still qualified.
